PESHAWAR: A policeman was killed and at least three officials injured in a road-side bomb attack in Peshawar on Thursday.

The bomb targeted a police vehicle in the Garhi Sobat Khan area, within the jurisdiction of Khazana police station, Peshawar.

Sub-Inspector Qayum Dad was killed in the blast, confirmed SSP Operation Abbas Majeed Marwat.

The injured police personnel were identified as Atlas, Junid and Asim, who were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). Their condition is said to be critical.

Police and BDU officials reached the site and initiated an investigation.

“At least five to six kilogram of high explosives were used in the attack, with the help of a remote-controlled device,” a BDU official told The Express Tribune.
