Brawl erupts between PPP, MQM in Sindh Assembly
Members of both the parties engaged in a physical fight following verbal abuse during a budget speech
The Sindh Assembly turned into a fighting ring on Thursday as members were seen engaging in physical fighting and hurling verbal abuse at each other during a budget session.
It all began when Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Shameem Mumtaz criticised the opposition members for pinpointing flaws in the provincial budget.
She said if the opposition [Muttahida Qaumi Movement] would talk about leaders in Dubai, they would also take to task those in London, referring to MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Shameem added hat none of the PPP ministers were involved in money laundering and those involved in this practice were criticising the government.
At this, the MQM leaders got up from their seats with the two sides ultimately engaging in a physical fight.
One of the MQM members said they would even subject late Benazir Bhutto to criticism, causing further furore in the House.
