Recreation: 40 sports grounds for Sahiwal

He said Minister for Zakat Nadeem Kamran had also promised a grant for this purpose

“The provincial government will construct 40 sports grounds at an estimated cost of Rs238.1 million,” Sahiwal Divisional Sports Officer Akbar Murad told a press on Wednesday.

He said grounds and facilities would be developed for football, hockey, volley ball, badminton, cricket, basketball and kabaddi in all towns and villages of Sahiwal division. He said jogging tracks would also be laid under the project.Murad said Nawaz Sharif Sports Complex would be built in Fareed Town at a cost of Rs16.1 million. He said Minister for Zakat Nadeem Kamran had also promised a grant for this purpose. He said volleyball, badminton, basketball courts and jogging tracks would be built at the complex. Rs6.9 million would be spent on grounds in Bhutto Nagar.
