According to the department, the potential flood would be low level but could damage crops on hundreds of acres of land.
District administration officials told The Express Tribune that rehabilitation projects after last year’s floods were still underway. “And now a new warning has been issued.” A spokesperson of the district administration said that they were aware of potential floods. “We have been preparing to deal with them for some time and we feel that we are prepared.” District Coordination Officer Nadir Chattha has convened a meeting this week to review strategies on how to deal with potential floods, the spokesperson said.
