PESHAWAR: The chief minister has appointed Swat MPA Azizullah Khan as the parliamentary secretary for housing. This was stated in a notification issued on Tuesday. Azizullah Khan has been appointed as the parliamentary secretary for housing while Dr Amjad Ali is already working as a special assistant to the chief minister on housing. The K-P government now has 18 parliamentary secretaries, with the induction of Azizullah Khan. However, an official in the K-P Assembly, seeking anonymity, told The Express Tribune that in the presence of ministers, advisers and special assistants, keeping parliamentary secretaries is useless and a burden on the government. “They are provided with an office, staff, and an official vehicle with fuel along with a salary higher than that for other members of the house,” he said.
