The students have demanded early resolution of the issue.
They have also stressed for necessary action against the management for not informing the students about the issue.
The effected students had also staged a protest demonstration on Monday against the university management outside the HEC building, and met its chairperson Dr Mukhtar Ahmed.
The HEC chairperson assured the students to resolve their problems as soon as possible.
Azhar Khan, a PhD scholar at the varsity, who was leading the protest, said that the Preston University President Dr Abdul Basit was not serious about the standard of university and the careers of the students.
“If the HEC and the university did not resolve the issue then we will come out on the roads,” he said.
The students have requested Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take serious action against the university management and also direct the HEC to look into the matter for its early solution.
