MUZAFFARABAD: Senior leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), who are on a visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), have unanimously supported the multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat and Sikh Welfare Council Jammu Chairman Narinder Singh Khalsa were talking to media during meet the press programme at Central Press Club on Monday.

“The CPEC will help eliminate terrorism and poverty in the region. An economically stable and sound Pakistan is vital for the ongoing liberation struggle of Indian administered Kashmir,” Bhat said.

Khalsa condemned India for violating human rights in Indian administered Kashmir. “Armed Forces Special Powers Act and Public Safety Act are the black laws that give licenses to the Indian army to kill and catch any Kashmiri at any place without trial in Indian administered Kashmir,” he added.

The APCH delegation also met with the refugees of 1989 who had been forced to leave their homes in Indian administered Kashmir and were settled in different areas of AJK.
