A Digital Forensic Research and Service Centre (DFRSC) has been established at the Lahore Garrison University (LGU), a press statement said on Monday. It said that the centre was the first of its kind. It will conduct research, survey, training, certification, degree programmes and publish white papers on various fields of digital forensics and cyber security. Vice Chancellor Major General (r) Obaid bin Zakaria said, “I hope that the centre will prove to be the leading innovative information technology education providers in the region.” Kaukab Jamal Zuberi, the founding chairman of International Association of Digital Forensic Experts, has been appointed the DFRSC’s project leader.
