ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday set aside the federal government’s notification of September 23, 2015, directing private educational institutes to withdraw tuition fee increases. A single bench of the IHC nullified the federal government’s decision imposing restrictions on fee increases, writing, “There can be no arbitrary fixation of the fee by the authorities or even enhancement of the same, rather it has to be done after taking into consideration the expenses of the petitioners and naturally the profit on the same.”
