KARACHI: At least three people were killed and two others wounded in an explosion in Karachi’s Steel Town on Wednesday.

Police said the incident occurred when victims were welding an oil tanker at the Zulfiqar Oil Terminal Workshop near Wireless Gate.

The bodies and the injured were taken to the Jinnah Hospital, added SHO Ghulam Ahmed Shaikh.

Earlier in February, at least five people were injured as a CNG cylinder exploded in the Lyari neighbourhood of the city.
