Pakistan Railways: Committee to establish R&D division
The R&D division would come up with innovative solutions to the problems being faced by the Pakistan Railways
ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Railways has formed a committee to establish a Research and Development (R&D) division within the Ministry of Railways to meet the technology needs of the current era. The committee was formed under the supervision of Pakistan Railways Advisor Anjum Pervaiz and Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Javed Anwar, said a ministry official. “The committee will submit its suggestions for the establishment of a R&D development centre within one month,” he added. The official said that Pakistan Railways would upgrade rakes of the trains to facilitate and provide better and comfortable journey to the passengers. The R&D division would come up with innovative solutions to the problems being faced by the Pakistan Railways, the official revealed.
