ISLAMABAD: An accountability court extended on Wednesday physical custody remand of a director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Cheema, for 10 days to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over his alleged involvement in a case of accumulating assets beyond known sources of income. The Accountability Court Judge, Muhammad Bashir, extended the remand after the suspect was produced before the court. Earlier, the court had handed over Cheema to the NAB for 12 days after the officials of the anti-graft body arrested him and produced him before the court.
