Varsity’s Finances: UoP presents budget for approval
The improvement in the information technology area of the university was also discussed
PESHAWAR:
The Finance and Planning Committee of University of Peshawar presented the varsity’s annual budget of Rs3.2 billion for 2016-17 to the syndicate for approval. A meeting was held in this regard on Saturday. UoP Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rasool Jan chaired the moot. The budget is based on the varsity’s own resources of Rs1.16 billion, while the remaining would come from the Higher Education Commission. At the meeting, salary increments were also approved for contract employees. The improvement in the information technology area of the university was also discussed. Moreover, it was decided new posts would be created for the campus management system.
