KARACHI: Former IBSF world team champion Mohammad Sajjad started the Jubilee Insurance 2nd Ranking Snooker Championship on a winning note as he defeated senior player Khurram Agha 4-0 yesterday.

Sajjad was dominant right from the get go, eventually winning with scores of 89-30, 86-09, 65-17, 99-0.

In his second match on the opening day, Sajjad beat Saeed Khan 4-1 with scores of 00-77(50), 96-01, 94-0(94), 81-25, 91-20.

Meanwhile, former IBSF world champion Mohammad Asif also won 4-0 against Muzammil Khan with scores of 66-17, 80-10(80), 69-21, 72-0.

Babar Masih beat Hunain Amir 4-2, while Shahid Aftab thrashed Nadir Miran 4-0.

In other matches, Shahram Changezi won in straight frames against Abdul Raziq, while Mohammad Asif Toba triumphed 4-3 against Abdul Sattar.
