Missing: Three men kidnapped in three days

Three men, including two brothers, kidnapped from Rohri and Pano Aqil.

SUKKUR: Three men, including two brothers, were kidnapped from Rohri and Pano Aqil over the last three days. Fayaz Shah, 25, and Aijaz Shah, 28, who have been missing for three days, were reported kidnapped on Saturday.

The brothers lived in the locomotive shed with their father, Mumtaz Shah, who said he informed the police when his sons when missing on Wednesday. Mumtaz said the kidnappers called him on Saturday, demanding Rs800,000 in ransom. “I bought a Suzuki van on installments and both my sons used to drive the vehicle to run the household. I simply cannot afford to pay the ransom,” said Mumtaz. A Rohri police official said that he knew nothing of the case and no one has filed a complaint about the kidnapping.

Separately, Ghazi Indhar was allegedly kidnapped on Friday night from Mitho Pathan village, within the limits of Gudpur police station. Indhar went to irrigate his land, but did not return home the next morning. The police said they were unaware of the incident.
