Reshuffle : Sindh govt transfers LG secretary

The Chief Minister House spokesperson termed it a routine transfer

KARACHI:
Sindh government transferred on Wednesday local government (LG) secretary Noor Muhammad Leghari and appointed him as Sindh Building Control Authority director-general. According to a notification, general administration and coordination department special education secretary Baqaullah Unar has replaced Leghari. The decision was taken a day after the Supreme Court warned the Sindh chief secretary to initiate contempt proceeding against him and the LG secretary for not removing officers on deputation in the LG department. Leghari, an officer of provincial secretariat services who works in grade-20, is said to be a trusted man of Pakistan Peoples Party leadership. The Chief Minister House spokesperson termed it a routine transfer.
