Lahore seminary attacked after 14-year-old student 'raped' by teacher
Witnesses say the accused fled the scene after sexually assaulting the student

A seminary in Lahore was reportedly attacked and its property damaged by local residents protesting against alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old-boy and his subsequent disappearance on Tuesday.
Kamran, a student of Ayyan-ul-Atfaal in Baggrian Chowk, Green Town, claimed he was sexually assaulted by his teacher, Qari Yusuf.

Police contingents arrived on site to control the situation as the charged crowd grew in number and added to the intensity of the situation. The on-duty security guards were also mauled.
Police were met with violent resistance from the charged crowd, who pelted stones at the personnel. They resorted to baton-charge in an attempt to disperse the angry crowd, turning the area into a battlefield.
Witnesses informed the media that the accused, Qari Yusaf, had sexually assaulted the boy after which he fled the scene. The victim’s parents had called for help in the locality upon discovering that their son had been missing.

The witnesses further said the situation remained tense for a few hours and more detail was summoned as the protesters attempted to set the school on fire. Senior police officers also reached the site.
After hours of negotiations, police officials managed to disperse the protesters assuring them the schoolteacher would be arrested and the boy recovered.
A police source, however, claimed that the accused had been taken into custody and that police high-ups were concealing his arrest to avoid wrath of the charged protesters.
