In Custody: Ex-Pepco chief’s remand extended

The court extended physical remand for another 14 days and directed to produce him again on June 2

An accountability court on Friday extended the physical remand of Tahir Basharat Cheema, former managing director of the Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) for 14 days.  Earlier, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials produced Cheema before Accountability Court Judge Rehan Bashir on the expiry of his remand. An officer told the court that investigation was in progress. He asked the court to grant them more time.  The court extended physical remand for another 14 days and directed to produce him again on June 2.
