Shoaib Malik searches for his own 'plastic shirt boy'

Pakistan middle-order batsman asks people on Twitter to help him locate young fan wearing jersey with his name on it

Pakistan middle-order batsman Shoaib Malik is on the hunt for his very own 'plastic shirt boy'.

If you don't get the reference, we're talking about the young Afghan boy who gained worldwide fame a few months ago after being photographed wearing a makeshift Lionel Messi jersey fashioned from a plastic bag.



Murtaza then received a signed Argentina shirt and football from Messi. The Barcelona star had also expressed his desire to arrange a meeting with the Afghan boy. The kid has now been brought to Pakistan after receiving threats.



Malik’s fan didn’t exactly sport an improvised shirt but the picture shows his name hand-written on the back of the kid’s green jersey. The shirt also has the number 10 written under the name -- a number held by former T20 captain Shahid Afridi. Maybe, Lala can help Malik locate the young greenshirt.
