SWABI: The Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Council of Islamic Ideology and Ministry of Religious Affairs have been asked to prepare a similar policy for government and private tour operators for Hajj. The request was made by Pakistan Hajj Training Council Central Chairperson Alhaj Muhammad Hayat Khan. He was addressing Hajj training committee members at the hujra of Haji Shakirullah in Kalu Khan, Swabi on Sunday. According to the chairperson, pilgrims were expected to pay Rs0.2 million under the government’s scheme while each pilgrim is charged Rs0.4 million under private schemes. “There is a huge difference in the amount so the relevant authorities should devise a similar policy for both [government and private packages] and reduce the amount,” he said.
