MULTAN:

Police have registered a case against a man who had been practicing as a lawyer even though his licence had been cancelled earlier.

District Bar Association President Azeemul Haq Pirzada had filed a complaint with the Shah Shams police saying Tariq Sheikh’s licence to practice as a lawyer had been cancelled earlier following the registration of a case against him. However, he had continued to practice as a lawyer. Pirzada asked the police to take action against Sheikh for practicing law without a licence. Shah Shams police then registered a case against Sheikh under Sections 419 and 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code (impersonation, dishonesty and cheating).
