ISLAMABAD:

Human rights campaigner Amina Masood Janjua, who has been pursuing cases of missing persons for a decade, has requested the top court to wrap up the inquiry commission on enforced disappearances.

In compliance with the Supreme Court’s order, Janjua has filed a three-page report on the working of the inquiry commission. The report is formed on the basis of personal experiences of the petitioner, and is registered through the missing persons’ families which are in contact with Defence Human Rights (DHR).

Janjua has asked the top court to wrap up the commission, asking it to submit its findings and recommendations within a month and grant a dedicated bench of the Supreme Court (SC) to resolve the missing persons’ issue.
