Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed held a meeting with Dr László Palkovics, Hungary’s minister of state for education. During his recent visit to Hungary, Dr Ahmed discussed bilateral cooperation in higher education with the minister.
The discussion was held with specific reference to the MoU signed in December 2015 between the two countries to award 240 scholarships. The first group of 80 Pakistani students will start classes this fall.
Dr Palkovics expressed a desire to establish a long-term relationship under the umbrella of the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme. Dr Mukhtar Ahmed expressed gratitude for the scholarships offered by the Hungarian government.
