Grave news: Two die allegedly of heatstroke
Edhi Foundation officials also confirmed the deaths but failed to comment on what caused them

The ongoing mild heatwave in the city allegedly claimed two lives, though the deaths could not be confirmed to have been a result of the rise in temperature.
According to medical superintendent at Qatar Hospital, Dr Khalid Masood, 50-year-old Abdul Sattar, a resident of Orangi Town, was brought dead to the hospital in the afternoon.

“Technically, the victim had no signs of heatstroke. However, his family members said he was diabetic and his condition deteriorated while he was at home - without any electricity since morning.”
Another reported victim, Sharafat Jokhio, also passed away at the shrine of Syed Sakhi Sultan in Manghopir due to unknown reasons.
According to sources, the victim, 45, was a resident of Bin Qasim Town and had gone to visit the shrine when he passed away. He was brought to Hashmat Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Television channels reported that he suffered from a heatstroke. However, Karachi health director Dr Shakoor Abbasi, said the cause of death has not been confirmed as the victims’ bodies were taken away by the families soon after the death was confirmed.
