
LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore Pet Centre on Wednesday organised a seminar titled: Zoonotic Diseases of Pets and Human Health. The idea was to raise awareness about diseases transmitted by pets to humans.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the concluding session and Veterinary Science Dean Khushi Muhammad presided over the inaugural session. Pasha said the seminar had aimed to gather veterinary and medical professionals on a platform to share information about diseases transmitted by pets (dogs and cats) to humans and how to prevent them. He appreciated the efforts of the pet centre’s team and the guest speakers. Separately, the UVAS Department of Physiology conducted training on Macrophage Isolation from Mice. Pasha chaired the concluding session of the workshop and distributed certificates among the participants.
