LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions’ judge on Tuesday sought comments from Batapur SHO in a petition seeking action against a man for trafficking his sister for Rs300,000.

Petitioner Nousher submitted that his wife had allegedly been sold off to someone by his brother-in-law Nazik for Rs300,000. He also alleged that his minor daughter was in Nazik’s custody.  He said that his wife had left his house and moved in with her parents sometime ago. He said one day his wife, her brother Nazik and some men came to his house and took away Rs130,000, a horse, some jewellery and property deed of another house he owned. He said he had learnt that later Nazik sold his wife to someone for a sum of Rs300,000. He requested the court to direct the police to take action against Nazik for trafficking his wife. He said when his wife is recovered action should be taken against her as well for her alleged role in robbery at his house.
