Family Row: Man killed ‘by brother-in-law’
A police team later collected forensic evidence from the scene and recorded witnesses’ statements
LAHORE:
A 40-year-old man was shot and killed in front of the Aiwan-i-Adl allegedly by his brother-in-law on Monday. Islampura SHO said the deceased, Muhammad Hashim, was on his way to a family court at the Aiwan-i-Adl complex to attend the hearing of a dissolution of marriage petition filed by his sister. He said that some witnesses reported that he was intercepted by his brother-in-law, Rizwan Khan alias Hera, who shot at him and fled the scene. Hashim was taken to Mayo Hospital where he died. A police team later collected forensic evidence from the scene and recorded witnesses’ statements.
