KARACHI: The wholesale price of sugar came down by a rupee to Rs65 per kilogramme on Monday.

The reason behind this decrease is the reduction in the ex-mill rate which has dropped to Rs63.50 per kg, said Karachi Retail Grocers Group General Secretary Mohammad Fareed Qureshi.

“We won’t see an immediate reduction in prices at the retail level as the retailers have a stock for three days and once that stock goes down only then the prices will fall,” said Qureshi.
