Commissioner’s visit: Installation of treatment plant underway

The total cost of the project has been estimated at Rs2 billion and funds will be provided by the ADB

The commissioner of Hyderabad, Qazi Shahid Pervez, has asked officers of the Hyderabad Development Project and other departments to start the third phase of the water treatment plant of Sehrish Nagar.


The completion of the project is necessary for the disposal of treated sewerage water of Rajputana Hospital, Deeplai Memon Colony, Gulistan-e-Sajjad and other adjoining areas into River Indus. Pervez was visiting the site of the proposed project at Sehrish Nagar in Qasimabad on Saturday. The total cost of the project has been estimated at Rs2 billion and funds will be provided by the Asian Development Bank.

He also directed them to conduct surveys to establish water treatment plants in Phuleli and Latifabad so that the residents can breathe a sigh of relief.
