Police Encounter: Wanted criminal shot dead

CHARSADDA: A wanted criminal was killed in police encounter in Charsadda on Saturday. He was identified as Farmanullah. A police official from Prang police station told journalists on Saturday Farmanullah was wanted by Charsadda police in various cases of murder, attempted murder and extortion. “Acting on a tip-off, we raided his house in Hussainabad, Charsadda where he opened fire on us,” the official said. He added the police also opened fire on him in retaliation and he died on the spot. Police sent his body for post-mortem after which it was handed over to his family. On the other hand, Charsadda DPO announced certificates for the police who conducted the raid.
