City-Wide Demolitions: SBCA moves against illegal constructions

Apart from that, an under-construction fourth floor in Civil Lines Quarters has been demolished

KARACHI: Taking action against several illegal constructions, including unit-based commercial plazas, the Sindh Building Control Authority’s (SBCA) demolishing squad has removed several such constructions around the city. According to SBCA spokesperson Engineer Farhan Qaiser, the construction of flats on residential plots is illegal. According to a press release, the team has demolished reinforced concrete columns on the fourth floor of a structure in Saddar’s Ranchor Line. Apart from that, an under-construction fourth floor in Civil Lines Quarters has been demolished. Several other constructions were demolished in Jamshed Town, Defence View, Fatima Jinnah Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town and Liaquatabad Town.
