INPUT: FPCCI pushes to revamp tax revenue

The proposals were presented to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during a meeting with FPCCI delegation

ISLAMABAD: The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has made several suggestions to broaden the tax base in a meeting with government officials. It also suggested the government to focus on ease of doing business, which will attract much-needed investment. It further pushed for immediately refunds of exporters and improvement in revenue collection. The proposals were presented to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during a meeting with FPCCI delegation. Advisor to Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan and FBR Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan were also present on the occasion. FPCCI officials lauded the government’s efforts in increasing the revenue collection by 19.7%. On the occasion, the delegation was assured that the proposals would be considered and that their support was needed to meet Rs3.1 trillion revenue target.
