KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Khurram Sher Zaman filed an application in Darakhshan police station to register an FIR against a former party member Amjadullah Khan, accusing him of cheating and fraud. Talking to The Express Tribune, Zaman said Amjad took Rs50,000 from the party's fund for election campaign during the recent by-polls but later joined Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). He also accused him of not returning the money. Zaman added that the PTI has asked him to return the money several times, but instead of returning the amount Khan is threatening them of dire consequences. Khan was contesting by-elections from NA-245 on the party ticket of PTI, however he surprisingly joined MQM a night before the election. MQM won the by-election easily. When contacted, Khan refused to comment on the situation, saying he will give a response 'in due time'.
