Alleged target killer: Qamar Mansoor's brother detained
The officer claimed that the suspect confessed to receiving militant training in India
KARACHI:
The Rangers informed on Friday the anti-terrorism courts' administrative judge about 90-day preventive detention of a suspected 'target killer' associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The paramilitary officials, along with their legal team, presented Masood Siddiqi, said to be the brother of former MQM leader Qamar Mansoor, and said the suspect's arrest was made after having 'credible information' about his alleged involvement in targeted killings in the city, running an extortion ring and other terrorist activities. The officer claimed that the suspect confessed to receiving militant training in India. The judge, concluding the hearing, directed the home department to constitute a team within 15 days to interrogate the suspect.
