KARACHI:

“While appreciating your wonderful performance, a thank you by Director General Pakistan Rangers, Sindh.” This unique thank you note wrapped on a box of Biryani was distributed to the Rangers personnel performing election duties on Thursday.

It is a common practice to have food served to the law enforcers and political parties’ agents on the day of the elections. However, this was the first time when the food was served with a ‘thank you’ note.

Rangers DG Major-General Bilal Akbar and District East DIG Kamran Afzal and District Central DIG Feroz Shah also visited polling stations to review the security arrangements. They appreciated the efforts of the law enforcers for holding peaceful election. No fake voter or agent was reported from any polling station.

“Karachi’s law and order situation is much better than the past. This peaceful environment is the result of the efforts of last two years,” said Akbar, while visiting parts of PS-115 constituency. “Sindh Rangers have the complete support of provincial and federal governments. The Rangers will continue with efforts to make the Sindh peaceful,” he added.
