ISLAMABAD: The government has cleared all dues of the Pakistanis affected by Kuwait-Iraq war, according to an UN announcement, official sources in the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development said on Monday. “The government has paid an amount of Rs17.44 billion through the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), which was provided by the United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) for some 44,290 claimants,” sources said.  Answering a question, they said some claimants were not considered by the UN panel because of minor damages as it had created categories for the affected people keeping in view the scale of the damage they suffered.
