ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Railways has fixed 12 Chinese locomotives, which had developed cracks in its underframes, with the help of Chinese engineers, officials in the ministry said. “These locomotives are (now) running properly with satisfactory results, but their performance is still under observation,” said an official, adding that Pakistan had received a fleet of 29 locomotives of 2,000 horse power, out of which 16 had developed the fault. But as per the given warranty, the Chinese company was asked to examine all the engines. “Chinese engineers are available to remove the faults.”
