LAHORE: Justice Shahid Wahid of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday dismissed as non-maintainable an application seeking implementation of the National Action Plan in the province. Petitioner Advocate Azhar Siddique had requested the court to issue directions to the Federation and provincial governments to implement the NAP including deployment of the Pakistan Rangers in the province. He said other law enforcement agencies including the Police Department had failed to protect the citizens’ lives. He had also sought fixing of responsibility and action against authorities concerned for failure to implement the NAP.
