After Pakistan’s exit from World T20, skipper Shahid Afridi who arrived home on Monday was given a warm reception by his fans.

In a video posted on social media, the 36-year-old can be seen arriving at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi as fans and supporters chant “Boom Boom Afridi”.

Previously, Afridi had delayed his arrival and opted to stay in Dubai, while the rest of the squad arrived in Lahore on Sunday.

The rest of the national team had received a hostile reception at Lahore airport after their dismal performance at World T20.

World T20: Men in green receive hostile reception at Lahore airport

Men in green were knocked out from the Super 10s round of World T20 on Friday after facing their third consecutive defeat in the tournament. Cricket fans showed their anger at Allama Iqbal International airport, booing the squad with chants of ‘losers, losers,’ and ‘shame, shame’.

SK | 8 years ago | Reply can't believe Afridi would take this much plunge and would bring paid supporters- there's no chance at all to have any real support for him or any position holder in cricket fraternity at this point
