Law and order: ‘Robbery suspect killed in shootout’
The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue for an autopsy

An unidentified robbery suspect was killed in a shootout with the police in Johar Town area on Sunday. Police said a team had received information on the 15 helpline about a robbery attempt at a house near Doctors’ Hospital. He said on reaching the scene the team asked robbers to surrender themselves but they opened fire on it instead. One of the suspects received bullet injuries and died on the spot. His two accomplices managed to escape from the scene. A heavy police contingent later reached the scene and conducted a search operation in the area. The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
