The managing director of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), Misbahuddin Farid, directed the relevant officials to ensure the provision of manhole covers in the metropolis on Sunday. He asked the technical services deputy managing director and district superintendent engineers to ensure the provision of manhole covers in public interest. Farid also urged them to ascertain the areas where such manhole covers are missing. He instructed them to appoint focal persons to ensure the provision of manhole covers in their respective areas in the city, adding that complete data should be collected.
