At least 65 people killed in suicide attack in parking space of the park where Christians were celebrating Easter
Facebook on Sunday activated its safety check feature after a suicide blast rocked outside Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore.
The feature is designed to check if people in the explosion-affected areas are safe.
Soon after the feature was activated, people from Lahore and adjoining areas started being marked as safe to the relief of their loved ones.
At least 65 people were killed and more than 300 injured when a suicide bomb ripped through the parking space of the park where Christians were celebrating Easter.

Facebook safety featured was launched in 2014 by founder Mark Zuckerberg, drawing inspiration from Tsunami which hit Japan in 2011.
“Safety check is our way of helping our community during natural disasters and gives you an easy and simple way to say you’re safe and check on all your friends and family in one place,” Mark Zuckerberg had said after launching the feature in 2014.
