The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has declared An-Noor Garden Housing Scheme illegal.
A spokesman of the FDA told newsmen on Friday that under the Local Government Ordinance 2001 and the Development of Citizens Act 1976, all housing scheme developers were required to seek permission from the FDA before developing a residential scheme.
He said An-Noor Garden Residential Scheme in Chak 204-RB Road had been developed without the requisite permission.
He said the FDA had declared Al-Noor Garden Residential Scheme illegal and had written a letter to the district collector to not register sale and purchase of plots there.
He said the FDA had also sent letters to the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to cut water, electricity and gas connections in the house scheme.
“The FDA has directed developers of the Al-Noor Garden Housing Scheme to complete all legal requirements before selling plots,” spokesman added.
