Minister for Agriculture Farrukh Javed made a surprise visit to the Khanewal District Headquarters Hospital late at night on Thursday.
He visited the emergency ward and inquired about the treatment being given to patients there. A patient complained about delay in dialysis. The minister directed urgent attention in his case. “Those who come to the hospital for dialysis must be provided treatment on the date fixed for them,” he said.
The minister reprimanded the hospital administration over inoperative dialysis machines and ordered them to submit a report in this regard within a week. “Strict action will be taken if dialysis machines are not made operational in a week,” he said. Assistant Commissioner Abid Hussain Bhatti and Medical Superintendent Aftab Iqbal accompanied the minister during the visit.
