CTD foils terror plot, arrests female suicide bomber in DI Khan
Suspect was associate of deceased militant commander; attack equipment was to be provided by khariji commander Asim

The Counter Terrorism Department Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has foiled a major terrorism plot in Dera Ismail Khan, arresting a female suicide bomber red-handed from Sheikh Yousaf Khema Basti in a timely operation conducted on confirmed intelligence, the CTD said.
The arrested suspect, identified only by her initial as Ms Z, is a resident of Waziristan. According to the CTD, she was a close associate of the deceased Khariji commander, Shah Wali alias Tariq Kochi, under whom she had been receiving training.

In her confessional statement, the suspect said that the equipment for the suicide attack and the designated target were to be provided by the Khariji commander, Asim.
A 30-bore pistol, along with cartridges, mobile phones, a tablet, and material intended for use in the attack were recovered from her possession. Data retrieved from her mobile phones revealed contact with a proscribed Tehreek and confirmed her consent to carry out the suicide attack.

The operation was conducted by CTD Dera Region on the basis of confirmed intelligence.
