ISLAMABAD:

Czech Republic Ambassador Jan Fury said that Pakistan entrepreneurs should make efforts to explore new business prospects with Czech Republic in the field of IT and software sectors.

Speaking to the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), he said Pakistan mostly exported textiles and it should diversify its products to improve exports. The envoy said that bilateral trade between the two countries has witnessed an upward trend. However, by focusing on modern products, Pakistan could make a significant increase in its exports with Czech Republic.

“The business community can play an important role by showing the potential of their products.” Fury said that Czech Republic was one of the countries that initiated dialogue for EU’s GSP Plus status for Pakistan; however, it should not take this facility for granted.
