The Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) and the National Press Club (NPC) have entered an agreement where free treatment and investigation of heart related diseased will be provided to club members and their families.
RIC Executive Director Azhar Mahmood Kayani said life savings drugs and essential medicines were unavailable in the market because a few wanted to earn a profit. He was delivering a lecture on cardiovascular disease at the signing of a memorandum of understanding at the NPC Islamabad on Tuesday.
In his address, NPC President Shakeel Anjum urged the club and RIC to enhance mutual cooperation for the welfare of journalists.
