The medical report of the 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by her schoolteacher repeatedly for three months and hence impregnated, confirmed the rape and pregnancy on Tuesday.
The report, issued by a doctor at the Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, was produced before the second Larkana civil judge and judicial magistrate by the police. The rape survivor, R*, was produced before the court for recording her statement while the accused was also produced for identification.

The class four student of Government Primary School, Nauabad, recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code before the court, confirming the version of her family. The family had claimed that she was raped and impregnated by her teacher, Muzafar Mirani. Her parents claimed they are under threat from influential persons and have informed the Larkana DIG about it.
The accused in question, who has already confessed to his crime, will again be produced in the district and sessions court on Wednesday (today) on the expiry of his seven-day remand in police custody.
The survivor's maternal uncle, Ghulam Hussain Kalhoro, told The Express Tribune that the accused and his supporters, belonging to the Jatoi, Sial and Unnar tribes, first requested the family to withdraw the case and settle the matter out of court.

However, after their refusal to do so, they have started threatening them with dire consequences, he added. "We have informed the Larkana DIG about those threats and the officer has assured us of security and justice," he said. "We are poor people while the accused party has the backing of influential persons." He added that with the support of the police and media, they are hoping for justice.
Talking to The Express Tribune, the head constable of Hatri Ghulam Shah police station, Akbar Junejo, confirmed that R* was produced in the court for recording her statement on Tuesday. He said the accused will be produced before the court on Wednesday after the expiry of the seven-day remand.
