Umar, 12, slipped in the lake while trying to catch fish; his body yet to be recovered

A boy drowned in a lake in Karachi’s Safari Park on Monday as he attempted to catch fish.
Umar, 12, son of Abdul Latif, was visiting the park with his family when he noticed that the lake and jumped over the fence to get close to it, SHO Siddiq Abbasi said.

The child, however, lost his ground and slipped into the 70-feet deep lake, which took him away under the cover of darkness, he added.
Rescue teams rushed to the site of the incident but could not immediately find the victim as they struggled with the growing darkness.
