Mqm party registration: PTI member files petition before LHC

LAHORE:
Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaaf youth wing leader Ali Javed Dogar on Friday filed a petition before Lahore High Court pleading for cancellation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) registration as a political party. The petitioner stated that former mayor of Karachi, Mustafa Kamal with Anees Qaimkhani confirmed that MQM had links with the Indian intelligence agency (RAW) and was involved in anti-state activities. He stated that under section 15 of the Political Parties Registration, a party involved in activities against the state could not be registered as a political party.
